MAMA BEAR FAMILY REUNIONS

This was our first year starting "Mama Bear" Family Reunions.  Really, any woman who has children can be called a "Mama Bear".  With that thought in mind, we gathered our cubs together to spend time.  Family reunions are about reconnecting families, enjoying great food, sharing experiences, laughter, fun and making memories together.  This was a trip, we will soon not forget.  We are hoping in the years to come, other family members will join us.

DAY 5 - July 7, 2018

ANNIVERSARY DAY

This is Ian & Jill's Anniversary Day.  Nani & Caren will be hosting a cake decorating session with all the kids on this day.  Ian & Jill will be getting a couples massage for their anniversary, followed by a nice quiet dinner at Jyoto's Japanese Sushi Restaurant (waited on by none other than Trent himself).  The family has a surprise waiting for Ian & Jill, when they arrive home.

Part of "Anniversary Day" was for the kids to sit down and write out all the things they appreciate about their parents.  After their notes were compiled, the girls got busy cooking an anniversary cake.  Ian & Jill will be having dinner at Jyoto's (alone tonight), followed by dessert & a special anniversary ceremony the kids have put together.
Family reunions bring families together, and build appreciation for one another.

The kids each took turns, standing in front of their parents expressing their appreciation and reading their lists of comical admiration's.  From thanks for being so strict, to thanks for being so goofy.  When it came Olivia's turn, she really got joked up and began to cry.  This took me from being okay, to being quite emotional as well.  I can see in Olivia's eyes, how much it has meant to her, to be grafted into this family.  A big part of my grand-daughter's happiness has been because of Ian & Jill, and for that - I too am very thankful to have them in my life.

Everybody to bed early, we're getting up before the sun comes up in the morning.  We will be traveling to the mainland, heading into the rain forest jungle.  We are going to swing through the tree tops, zip lining (85 feet in the air) and floating through Mayan caves on inner tubes.
