MARLENE'S NISUA BREAD 1/4 lb. butter (1 stick) 2 c. milk 1 c. white sugar 1-1/2 tsp. salt 1 pkg. dry yeast (2 Tbsp.) 1/2 c. lukewarm water (110 degrees) 2 eggs, beaten 12 ground cardamon seeds (3 tsp.) 9-1/2 c. all-purpose flour Bread Glaze 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. white sugar |
Instructions for Bread
Note: Mom place the bread in a cool oven with the door closed. This provides a good environment for bread dough to rise, as there are no drafts. |
