EASY APPLE TURNOVERS Ingredients: 1 lb puff pastry, (2 sheets) thawed 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour (for dusting) 1-1/4 lb Granny Smith apples (3 medium) peeled, cored and diced into 1/3" thick pieces 1 Tbsp. butter 1/4 c. brown sugar, lightly packed 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp. salt 1 egg+ 1 Tbsp. water for egg wash For the Glaze: 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1-2 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream Instructions
Recipe Notes - To reduce the chances of filling leaking out of pastries, refrigerate uncovered for 20 minutes before brushing with egg wash and baking (this step is optional). |
