Apple Cinnamon Rolls

CINNAMON ROLLS
Ingredients

1 (17.5 oz.) can Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
2 small apples, cored, peeled and chopped
1/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. white sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
Instructions
For the Apples
  • Place chopped apples in a medium saucepan, add the butter sugar and cinnamon. 
  • Sauté until tender crisp and the butter, sugar and cinnamon mixture has thickened.  Set aside.

For the Cinnamon Rolls
  • Preheat oven to 350°. 
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. 
  • Gently take dough out of the can (all in one piece) and unroll all the cinnamon rolls (still in one piece). 
  • Add the prepared apples to the rolls; drizzle caramel on top of the apples. 
  • Gently roll them back the way they were out of the can (this will be messy). 
  • With a sharp knife slice the rolls on the perforation and place on prepared cookie sheet.  Bake 25 minutes. 
  • While the rolls are hot spoon caramel icing over the cinnamon rolls.

CARAMEL ICING
Ingredients

Icing provided with the cinnamon rolls
2 Tbsp. caramel ice cream topping
For the Caramel Icing: Pour icing provided with the cinnamon rolls into a small bowl.  Add caramel and stir until combined.
