Where It All Began
For a period of time (when the boys were small babies), the kids would bring them to me early in the mornings. Since I was the early bird in the family, it became my job to watch the boys, so everyone else could get "a bit more sleep". I'd put a pot of coffee on, we'd usually bake some muffins and the boys and I, would watch the sun come up together. These memories were the inspiration for Christina's Cookbook title, "Belizean Jungle Sunrise". I guess you might say, this was the start of our cooking adventures together. It was my attempt to try and entertain the boys, while everyone else slept.
Early Mornings at "Mama Bear's" House
While everyone slept, the boys and I would watch the sun come up every morning together. They'd sit there with their "sippy cups" and me with my coffee. After a while, they started getting bored, so I moved them into the kitchen and I started cooking while they watched. This worked for awhile, until they got older and wanted to participate. Soon they were holding the spoon and getting their hands in the mix, and the rest my friends is history. Jaymin & Romen took to it right away, and have loved cooking ever since.
