Marlene's Strawberry Pie

MARLENE'S STRAWBERRY PIE
10-Inch Pie Crust
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
3 TBsp. sugar

Gelatin Glaze
1 c. water
1 c. white sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 box (3 oz.) Strawberry Jell-O

2 c. whole strawberries
Instructions - Pie Crust
  • Mix all together
  • Press pie crust dough into a 10-inch pie baking dish.
  • Bake 325 for 25 minutes, set aside.
Instructions - Glaze
  • Combine cornstarch, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Add the Jell-O, and stir until dissolved.
  • Pour gelatin mixture over strawberries and refrigerate until set.
  • Place all ingredients into a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil.
  • Remove from burner and set aside.
To Assemble
  • Line the bottom of a pie crust with whole strawberries, tips pointing up.
  • Pour gelatin mixture over strawberries and refrigerate until set (about 2 hours).
  • Top with whipped cream.
