Are you in growth mode or death mode? That is the question.
o what does it mean to be in growth mode or death mode? As many of you know, I believe a lot in positive energy. Jehovah God is the creator of dynamic energy and everything in his universe operates on energy. Even our bodies have been designed to emanate positive or negative energy. This is often dictated by what we feed our minds and hearts.
Each day, we get to decide, what we will emanate. Will we emanate positive energy or negative energy? As living beings, we are designed to either grow or die, those are the two options. If you are not growing, then you are dying, because nothing in life ever stays the same.
If you are in growth mode, then you are bettering yourself, taking on more education, more challenges, setting goals for yourself, and trying to achieve them. You will be working on fixing imperfections, refining habits and eliminating bad traits. Your knowledge will be expanding of both yourself and your surroundings.
If you are in death mode, you are being controlled by others or by circumstances. You are allowing their emotional bad habits and abuse to become your emotional bad habits and traits. You have stopped growing, you don't have any goals, you are achieving very little, you don't care what happens to those around you, you feel disconnected, and you no longer show an interest in life. You find yourself feeling depressed, alone, crying more than usual, you feel down right miserable. If you are an addict (then you are in death mode), because you are being controlled by something usually negative. So the question is......how do you get yourself out of death mode and into growth mode?
First take a good look at yourself. Look at what is controlling your emotions, your life, your habits, your outlook, your goals, your dreams, your destiny. After you have narrowed that down (then ask yourself), what can I do to change it? For some it will mean changing your circumstances, your job, your friends, where you live, your involvement in a relationship, maybe even getting rid of a few toxic family members.
Set some goals for yourself, small goals. Goals that can be attainable in a relatively short period of time. Change your routine (because chances are), your routine is also feeding your death mode. Clean your house, get rid of clothing that makes you feel puky. Unfriend negative people on social media. Be determined (in your mind), to change 1-2 things about YOU, that bother you the most. If it's your weight, start a healthy diet and get a good gym routine in place. Exercise lets off endorphins, which automatically trigger a positive feeling in our brains. If it's your appearance, get a new haircut/hairstyle, change your makeup, maybe even your wardrobe. If you feel inferior and don't know how to do much, start reading a book, watching "Do-It-Yourself" videos on Youtube. Set your mind to learning how to accomplishing something you've always wanted to know how to do. Get a hobby that vents negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Find your purpose, find your gift, ask friends what they think you're good at and start building upon that. Remember happiness comes from within, not thru another person. If you're not happy single, you will not be happy married.
Growth mode puts you in a constant state of challenge, goal setting, learning, education, healthy life style habits, achievements, positive relationships, etc. When you are in growth mode, you will find yourself happier, healthier, and life will be more satisfying and purposeful. Growth mode will always include a spiritual side to life. Because without a higher purpose, none of us would even know where we're going.
